In April 2025, Qlosi eye drops officially launched sales in the US market. Qlosi eye drops attracted industry attention with its "EyeQFormulation" formula.

Qlosi Eye Drops Usage and Dosage

1. Routine dose and frequency

(1). Single dose: Instill 1 drop into each eye for each medication.

(2) Daily frequency: Use up to 2 times a day.

(3) Medication interval: The second eye drop should be 2 to 3 hours apart from the first dose. This dosing regimen is designed to provide up to 8 hours of near vision improvement.

(4) Usage mode: You can choose to use it regularly every day according to personal needs, or use it on demand only when you need clear near vision (such as reading, using mobile phones).

2. Important medication principles

(1) Do not increase or decrease at will: It is strictly prohibited to increase the number of eye drops or the number of drops per eye without authorization. This will not enhance the effect, but will increase the risk of side effects.

(2) Interval between combined medication: If the doctor recommends using other eye drops at the same time, there must be at least 5 minutes between the drops of different drugs to ensure that each drug is fully absorbed.

(3). Ready-to-use and disposable: single-dose, preservative-free packaging. Each vial is for one-time use. Even if there is remaining liquid in the vial, it should be discarded immediately after each eye drop and cannot be reused.

The pictures come from public channels (such as the official website of the FDA, the official website of the original drug manufacturer, etc.) and are for reference only.

Qlosi eye drops medication steps

1. Preparation stage

(1) Clean hands: wash hands thoroughly with soap and running water.

(2) Take out the medicine bottle: Take out a single-dose vial from the aluminum foil bag and shake it gently.

(3) Handling contact lenses: If you wear contact lenses, they must be removed before instilling the medicine. After applying the medicine, you need to wait at least 10 minutes before wearing it again.

2. Eye drops stage

(1) Head posture: tilt your head back as much as possible, or lie flat. Gaze upward.

(2) Expose the conjunctival sac: Use the index finger of one hand to gently pull the lower eyelid downward to form a "small sac" between it and the eyeball.

(3) Precise instillation: Place the medicine bottle above the eye, with the mouth of the bottle facing downwards, gently squeeze and drop 1 drop of medicine into the "small sac".

(4) Key taboos: Make sure the mouth of the bottle does not come into contact with eyes, eyelashes, fingers or any other surface to prevent contamination.

3. Post-eye drops stage

(1) Rest with eyes closed: Gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Avoid blinking or squinting hard.

(2) Press the tear point: Use your fingertips to gently press the inner corner of the eye (near the bridge of the nose) for about 1 minute. This reduces systemic absorption of the drug through the nasolacrimal ducts into the nose and throat, thereby reducing the risk of systemic side effects (eg, sweating, nausea).

(3). Discard properly: Discard used single-dose vials immediately.

Precautions for use of Qlosi eye drops

1. Core safety warnings

(1) Effects on vision: This product can cause temporary blurred vision and dim vision at night or in dark light environments. It is absolutely prohibited to drive, operate machinery, or engage in any potentially hazardous activities until your vision is completely clear. Use extreme caution when driving at night.

(2) Serious risk monitoring: Although rare, we need to be alert to the risk of retinal detachment. If any symptoms such as a sudden flash of light, a sharp increase or change in floaters, a curtain-like obstruction in the field of vision, or a sudden loss of vision occur, the medication must be stopped immediately and emergency medical help must be sought.

(3) Patients with eye diseases should use with caution: Patients with active iritis should not use this product to avoid causing iris adhesion.

2. Medication for specific groups of people

(1) Pregnant and lactating women: Use only when necessary and after a doctor has fully weighed the pros and cons.

(2) Elderly people (over 65 years old): use experience is limited and should be used with caution.

(3) Children: This product is not suitable for children.

3. Storage and management

(1) Refrigerated storage: Unopened medicines should be refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C and protected from light.

(2) Aging after opening: Once the aluminum foil packaging bag is opened, the single-dose vial taken out of the bag can be stored at room temperature (not exceeding 25°C) and must be used within 30 days.
