Qlosi滴眼液如何用药
Qlosi Eye Drops 0.4% provides an innovative treatment option for patients with presbyopia.
How to use Qlosi eye drops
1. Dosage and frequency
(1). Standard protocol: instill 1 drop into each eye at a time. Use up to 2 times daily, 2 to 3 hours apart, to provide near vision improvement for approximately 8 hours.
(2) Disposable: Single-dose vials are for one-time use and must be discarded immediately after use. Even if there is remaining medicinal solution in the bottle, it cannot be reused.
(3) Interval between combined medications: If other eye drops need to be used, there should be an interval of at least 5 minutes between different medications.
2. Detailed operating steps
(1). Preparation: Wash hands thoroughly before use. Remove a single-dose vial from the foil pouch.
(2) Attention for those who wear glasses: If you wear contact lenses, they must be removed before instilling the medicine. After applying the medicine, wait at least 10 minutes before wearing it again.
(3) Eye drops: tilt the head back and look up. Use your fingers to gently pull the lower eyelid downward to create a small sac. Hold the vial above the eye and squeeze in 1 drop of medicine. Key: Never let the bottle come into contact with your eyes, eyelashes, or any surface to prevent contamination.
(4) Eye-closed compression: Gently close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. You can gently press the inner corner of the eye (at the nasolacrimal duct) with your fingers for about 1 minute to reduce systemic absorption of the drug and reduce the risk of side effects.
(5) Discard: Discard the used vial immediately.
3. Drug storage
(1). Unopened: need to be kept refrigerated (2°C to 8°C) and protected from light.
(2) Opened: After opening the aluminum foil bag, the vial in the bag can be stored at room temperature (not exceeding 25°C) and must be used within 30 days.

Adverse reactions of Qlosi eye drops
1. Common adverse reactions (usually mild and short-lived)
In clinical studies, the following reactions are more common and most of them can be relieved by themselves:
(1) Pain at the instillation site: the incidence rate is 5%-8%.
(2) Headache: incidence rate is 5%-8%.
(3) Blurred vision: incidence rate is 2%-5%. This is a normal phenomenon caused by ciliary muscle contraction (accommodative spasm) caused by drugs, especially when the vision switches between far and near.
These reactions are usually temporary. If blurred vision occurs, you should avoid driving, operating machinery, or engaging in any hazardous activities until your vision is completely clear.
2. Other side effects that need attention
(1) Dim vision at night: The narrowed pupils lead to a reduction in the amount of light entering, and the vision may become darker in a dimly lit environment. You need to be extra careful when driving at night.
(2) Eye irritation: such as slight stinging and burning sensation.
3. Serious adverse reactions/warning requiring immediate medical attention
Signs of retinal detachment: sudden flash of light, sudden increase or change in floaters, curtain-like obstruction in the field of vision, sudden loss of vision.
Contraindications of Qlosi Eye Drops
1. It is prohibited for those allergic to the active ingredient (pilocarpine hydrochloride) or any excipients (such as hypromellose, sodium hyaluronate, etc.).
2. It is contraindicated in patients with severe allergic reactions (such as anaphylactic shock, angioedema) who have used pilocarpine drugs in the past.
