Erdafitinib Oral Tablets: Strengths, Packaging, and Dose Adjustment
Erdafitinib is an oral small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets the fibroblast growth factor receptor(FGFR)family.By inhibiting FGFR kinase activity and blocking aberrant FGFR signaling,it interferes with the growth and proliferation of tumor cells. It is formulated as an oral tablet,so patients with urothelial(bladder)carcinoma generally do not require injectable administration.
In overseas markets, the most common tablet strengths are 3 mg,4 mg and 5 mg,supplied in pack sizes such as 3 mg×56 tablets,4 mg×14 tablets and 4 mg×28 tablets.Approved labeling and actual supply may vary between countries and regions,so the strength of each tablet should always be verified rather than relying on the product name alone.
Erdafitinib does not have a single fixed dose suitable for every patient.During treatment, the dose is adjusted individually according to therapeutic response, tolerability and relevant laboratory findings. The different strengths do not indicate differences in how the drug works;rather, they exist to support flexible dosing and practical dose management over the course of continuous therapy.
