Rivaroxaban is a highly selective, oral drug that directly inhibits factor Xa. By inhibiting factor Rivaroxaban does not inhibit thrombin (activated factor II) and has no proven effect on platelets.

Precautions for Rivaroxaban:

1. When using rivaroxaban, you need to pay attention to the dosage. This drug is an oral drug. The dosage for one use is ten milligrams and needs to be used once a day. If it is used after surgery and the wound has stopped bleeding, the first dose of medication should be between six and eight hours after surgery.

2. If rivaroxaban is used to prevent venous thrombosis or embolism, the length of medication treatment needs to be determined according to the patient's specific physical condition. People who have had major hip surgery generally need to take rivaroxaban for five weeks, and people who have knee surgery should take rivaroxaban for two weeks.

3. If you miss a dose when taking rivaroxaban, you should take it immediately and take it on time every day. Rivaroxaban can be taken with a meal or alone. It should also be noted that there are no special antidote drugs available for rivaroxaban overdose.
