In 3 trials, 1,493 adult patients with PSA participated in the study of the safety and efficacy of Apremilast. The results showed that the proportion of ACR20 response patients in the 16th week of Apremilast was significantly higher than that in the placebo group. In the PSA-2 study, the placebo group was 19% and the Apremilast group was 32%; in the PSA-3 study, the placebo group was 18% and the Apremilast group was 41%. In study PSA-1, the rate was 19% in the placebo + DMARDs group and 38% in the Apremilast + DMARDs group. The results of these three studies all show that Apremilast is effective in treating PSA, and the adverse reactions are within acceptable limits.
