Serious side effects of Etrasimod

If you have any of the following side effects while taking it, please contact your doctor immediately:

Bladder pain, blood or cloudy urine, blurred vision, burning or stinging skin, dark urine, difficulty urinating, burning or pain, dizziness, frequent urination, headache, hypercholesterolemia, light-colored stools, lower back or flank pain.

Nausea, vomiting, nervousness, painful blisters on the trunk, painful cold sores or blisters on the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals, pulsating sensation in the ears, heartbeat that is too slow or too fast, stomach pain or bloating, yellowing of the eyes or skin.

Side Effect Management for Medical Professionals

1. General Adverse Events

The most common adverse events include lymphopenia, headache, elevated liver enzymes and dizziness.

2. Cardiovascular system

(1) Common (1%-10%): hypertension, bradycardia.

(2) Uncommon (0.1%-1%): AV block (first or second degree Mohs type I AV block).

3. Gastrointestinal system

(1), very common (≥10%): gastrointestinal discomfort (12.5%).

(2) Common (1%-10%): nausea, ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain, hemorrhoids.

4. Genitourinary system

Common (1%-10%): urinary tract infection.

5. Blood system

(1), very common (≥10%): lymphopenia (11%).

(2) Common (1%-10%): anemia, blood and lymphatic system disorders, lymphocyte count falling below 0.2x10⁹/L, neutropenia.

6. Liver

Common (1%-10%): elevated liver enzymes.

7. Metabolic system

Common (1%-10%): hypercholesterolemia.

8. Musculoskeletal system

Common (1%-10%): joint pain.

9. Nervous system

Common (1%-10%): dizziness and headache.

10. Eyes

(1), common (1%-10%): decreased visual acuity.

(2) Uncommon (0.1%-1%): macular edema.

11. Others

(1), very common (≥10%): infection (25%).

(2), common (1%-10%): herpes virus infection, fever.

12. Respiratory system

Common (1%-10%): lower respiratory tract infection, COVID-19.
