Trastuzumab first dose
When Trastuzumab is used to treat HER2-overexpressing metastatic breast cancer that has spread, it is usually given once a week. When trastuzumab is used to prevent recurrence of HER2-overexpressing node-positive or -negative breast cancer, it is usually given once weekly during treatment with other chemotherapy drugs and then every 3 weeks for 52 weeks after completion of treatment with other chemotherapy drugs. When trastuzumab is used to treat HER2-overexpressing metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, it is usually administered every 3 weeks. The length of treatment depends on the body's response to the medication and the side effects experienced.
