In both studies, anamorelin increased lean body mass but did not significantly improve grip strength compared with placebo. In the subsequent extension study, 513 NSCLC patients were enrolled from ROMANA 1 and ROMANA 2 and evaluated again. The results of this study suggest that anamorelin is associated with weight gain but has no effect on muscle strength.
