Planep治疗高血压的疗效怎么样？

Planep is a selective aldosterone receptor antagonist. This drug can be used clinically to treat heart failure and hypertension. How effective is Planep in treating hypertension?

The therapeutic effect of Planep in treating high blood pressure:

In clinical studies of 3,091 patients with hypertension, the safety and effectiveness of Planep were evaluated alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.

Two fixed-dose, placebo-controlled, 8- to 12-week single-agent studies were conducted to evaluate the antihypertensive effect of Planep in 3,091 patients with baseline diastolic blood pressures of 95 to 114 mm Hg. In both studies, 611 patients were randomly assigned to the Planep group and 140 to the placebo group.

Study patients were ≥65 years of age, including 46% women, 14% black, and 22% elderly. Patients with elevated baseline potassium (>5.0 mEq/L) and elevated baseline creatinine (men: >1.5 mg/dL, women: >1.3 mg/dL) were excluded.

The trial results showed that sitting systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the trough were significantly reduced in the Planep group, with differences from placebo of 6-13 mm Hg (systolic blood pressure) and 3-7 mm Hg (diastolic blood pressure). Patients who received Planep maintained their antihypertensive efficacy throughout the entire course of dosing.

In the Planep treatment group, blood pressure dropped significantly within 2 weeks of treatment, and the maximum antihypertensive effect was achieved within 4 weeks.

Adverse Reactions: 3% of patients in the Planep group discontinued medication due to adverse reactions, including headache, dizziness, angina/myocardial infarction, and elevated GGT.

In addition, if Planep is used to treat heart failure, it is relatively suitable for patients with left ventricular hypertrophy and left ventricular ejection fraction less than or equal to 40%. It can improve the quality of life and prognosis of such patients. If it is to treat high blood pressure, it can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs to treat high blood pressure.
